If I Were a Poet

You can have a world where things of unspeakable evil happen,
but also things of breathtaking goodness and beauty.
Or you can have a world where everything is just okay;
nothing very beautiful, but nothing very ugly,
nothing very good, but nothing very wrong.
I don’t think you can have a world where everything is good.
I guess God is a capitalist.
