My Life, Version 2.0

by Tom Bajoras

I wrote a screenplay about a human who became a dog
and a dog who became a human
and how they fell in love.

I took apart a television set, glued all the pieces
onto a sheet of pink cardboard, and called it art.

I invented a game that’s like chess, except a lot more complicated.
I’m the only person in the world who knows how to play it,
so I always win.

I wrote an opera based on the first 10,000 digits of pi.

I wrote this poem and called it “My Life, Version 2.0.”
